Good morning beautiful people 🙂 Do me a favor and smile okay? Laughter is the cheapest medicine, remember that.  So let me help. Um. If someone calls you a name or treats you like crap, tell them a joke. Ready? Omg this is hilarious I heard this yesterday. “Are you from europe? Cause europiece of shit” bahaha. Okay. That was lame. Whatever. That would prob make them mad but whatever youd laugh. Thats all that matters 😉  love you guys. Xxx

Laughter is a cheap medicine …but it is not a cure for anything….I can laugh at something funny for a few fleeting seconds but does that mean my problems are gone? does that mean I am happy? does that mean that this feeling will go away?….nope…it means something was funny…thats it….laughter doesn’t do anything for me except for the few seconds I laugh then its back to my current mood….either sadness or apathy …
I can laugh for a year straight and I bet the house that nothing will change
See thats the problem. The whole point of my article was to try to get everyone on here to smile or laugh even if its for a short amount of time. I never stated it would change a whole lot of anything. I was just hoping it would atleast make you smile. We should take it one step of a time. Treasure the little moments because for most people on here, theyre rare. X
+ the last time I checked, medicine doesnt even last forever. You have to take it over and over. Same with laughter.
How old are you?
Im 16.
@sethsn….but eventually medicine cures a disease….laughter never cured anything….when is the last time laughter cured an STD or the Flu or strep throat ?….NEVER….laughter isn’t really a “medicine” is my whole point….When people say laughter is a cheap medicine they don’t mean it is literally a medicine its just a way to say it can help you feel better for the fleeting moment that’s all….
I’m not trying to be negative towards you I just have a dislike for unrealistic positivity
Awh I love people like you! Chances are you’re on this site for a reason and have a load of your own problems, but you’re still trying to make everyone else happy. I always try to do the same, laughing really does take away so much pain, even if only for a moment. Have a great day and find something to laugh at yourself (hugs) ._.
Lol youre exactly right. I try to make everyone else happy but its like they push me away. The reason why life sucks so much is because we take everything literally & we dont see life the good way. Theres nothing wrong with laughing, smiling, etc. Everyone complicates things. If wecall looked at it in a much simpler way, things would get better. Try to change things about yourself. Because being anegative asshole will get you no where.
@sethsn
Well. Actually. Laughter is not cheap but basically free. Europe joke was not funny by the way. I’m from Europe. Anyways, keep smiling for the rest of us I guess and laugh, because you have to laugh like crazy for us all 🙂
It wasnt an insult. I love europeans. Lol I just thought it was funny how it fit perfectly. And I will I promise. My life might be full of shit, but I have no problem living for everyone. I love everyone. Hate me for being so sure about everything however unsure of myself, but I will be living. And I will hold on to all of you cause I refuse to let go. You guys are so great depressed or not.
@sethsn
^^ yap, well good to have positive people here + you have awesome attitude
Thanks 🙂
This post made my day! People like you make this world a brighter place ^^
Awwwww. Thank you 🙂 I try to shine bright for everyone.
well a positive attitude should not be underestimated. a positive attitude and suicide usually don’t go hand in hand so it’d stop you from the disease of being suicidal. and studies have shown that an overall positive outlook and view point when someone is ill often leads to a quicker recovery (or recovery at all, when the outlook is grim) that is often unexplainable to medicine with all their facts and charts… i think even a logical being can admit there are things outside their understanding that a positive outlook and sense of belonging can often seem to improve that is not really explainable.
side note: i’m depressed as hell (hence why i’m here) because i just cannot adopt a positive outlook, altho the times in my life when i could were better in a variety of ways and my health seemed to rebound inexplicably well.
