Write how you feel, and write from experience. I’m only 18, but all my school narratives and stories I’ve ever written have gotten full marks, so that being the only way i can judge my talent, I like to think I’m rather talented.
Also, reading a lot will help, including ‘how to write’ books.
The one trick I use, and if used well is amazing, is to be a bit post-modern, to write differently. Manipulate your sentence syntax, manipulate your punctuation, and you will gain a different feel from what could be simple or too much.
For example, if I wanted to say ‘the rain pattered dismally on the window’ , thats rather boring, but if I add some more words, and alter the syntax, it could become ‘The soft crystals tapped upon my window, gazing into the world beyond I find a dismal day awaiting my arrival’
Writing is the best release, I hope you enjoy it and find your own special kind of form (:
