All the good jobs are either outsourced or saturated, which causes the pay rates to plummet.
The only way to get ahead in this world is to find a niche and exploit the piss out of it. Niche exploitation will likely benefit from stuff learned in college, but it won’t guarantee anything. You’re better off going anyway, because you’ll need specialized knowledge in order to exploit whatever niche, if you can find a useful one that isn’t already saturated, or take over an existing one by doing it better than anyone else.
I realize this. It takes very little effort to type a couple lines. Plus i like typing anyway, so bonus. Sometimes a couple lines of verbal freedom is worth it, even if it doesn’t change anything for anyone.
