The answer to my previous question is: “wisdom and comfort.”
But like the bruce lee quote in my profile says: “a wise man can learn more from a foolish question, than a fool can learn from a wise answer.” Like casting pearls before swine, most who receive my wisdom cannot appreciate it for what it’s worth, and those few who can, have to wallow in filth with swine, to find it.
I don’t see anyone benefiting from my misery. At least, not according to a realistic cost/benefit analysis. Enduring my life costs others time and energy that isn’t producing any discernible gains or value. Swine don’t understand pearls. Pearl seekers don’t want to “wallow in the dirt and mud, like all the other pigs.”
Maybe i should stop trying to help people who can’t understand (which necessitates judgment and discernment, as well as selective association based on appropriate criteria), and instead, bury my pearls in a time-capsule, and leave a map… so that those who would want to know such things, could find them through a more appropriate means, and nicely packaged, at that.

Well, to be more precise, it does take away the pain from myself, and it is given to others.
but others don’t receive /your/ pain; they receive their own.
