How do you get over something? Learn from it and make sure you don’t make that mistake again (but then you make another completely different mistake to add to your list of mistakes that you need to get over)? Get over it by forgetting it? I wish I was a goldfish. So darn hard to get over all your bad decisions. Like a fricken fly flying around your head while you’re trying to get to sleep, then you get up and try kill it but it has disappeared. You get back into bed turn off the lights and its buzzing around your head again GAAH. Or maybe I should shower more often? What is this fly attracted to? Maybe I smell?

You’re replaying that “shit” over and over inside your head. That’s why you have a fly bugging you. The only true way to get over something depends on the circumstances.
Ask yourself this, does it involve another person? If it does you will need to try to get forgiveness from the other person. Either, apologize, or tell them how they made you feel and see if they will apologize.
Ask yourself, does it involve a certain place? If so, you must go back to that place and create a new memory. Ideally, a positive memory.
Ask yourself, if this has to do with a certain object? If so, you may need to bury, burn, or destroy the object or… associate good things with this object.
You can trick your mind and make it believe whatever you want it to. I mean, look at the loony patients in hospitals. They believe some crazy shit… if you really wanted you could act out the situation in your head and control it/rewrite it and if you stick with it you will believe that it never happened.
QTR, you are eloquent and make me lols. I love your posts.
eternalrest, QTR is spot on, but I think you also need to forgive yourself if you can.
It inloves a lot of people, a lot of places and well not really a lot of things…. hmmmmm too many people to apologize to… tricking my mind is easier… it’s what I have been doing for a while already
