“I’m God Mode. Nothing can hurt me. I will always win. Sure, give me a hit, let’s do it. I’m down for anything, I don’t give a FUCK. I will ALWAYS win.”
“Because I got fired, right? Oh, it didn’t work out? Shit, nothing matters. Nothing means anything anyways. What’s the point? Today I’ll be invincible.”
Do you ever feel that way? Like, let’s be reckless and careless because, hey, we know we’re going to be dead in a few days anyways so who cares? Let’s run away, spend all our money, travel the country, and when we’re dead broke after our travels, we jump off that mother fucking bridge.
Slow down. When all hope is lost, lose yourself in something else. That’s what they say, at least. Put it this way…Some people go to the beach and gaze for hours at the ocean and the sky, all the blue green colors, the smell, the wind – and they lose themselves for a moment. For one second they see something so beautiful they realize this world could have potential. Euphoria, Bliss, Fascination…what a beautiful view. I think I’ll postpone that invincible, reckless, suicidal rampage for awhile….Some people go to the wilderness and find themselves in a massive clearing. There is nothing but open fields and hills for miles and miles. It’s amazing. Maybe there’s a handful of trees to be found, but mostly just green, green fields canopied by a wonderful cloud formation. What does that cloud look like to you? We can walk for miles and see nothing but nature’s finest as the clouds swirl around us. Let’s lay on the grass and see what those white angels become. Not lost, but in pure, ambient solitude.
Whichever person you may be it does not matter. Maybe you don’t care for graceful oceans or endless fields, maybe you like the hidden forests or the bustling city skyscrapers. Just lose yourself in something beautiful for just a moment. Immerse yourself in something more. Slow down, take a look, don’t jump just yet.

yeah, i have had such moments.
Going in “God mode” as you call it is awful… what if you change your mind later, and besides the things that already hurt you you also have to deal with everything you did while on “God mode”?… so i have to agree, that’s great advice from you, i could have used it years ago 😀
I don’t like the thought of this.
i try to respect other people even if they don’t have any respect for me.
I don’t view myself as being “better” than someone else. I do my best to treat other people the way I would want to be treated.
I like this.
The post isn’t about “god mode,” it’s about “stopping to smell the roses.”
Although i have dissected that last phrase and discovered that “stop and smell the roses” could be an eloquent way of saying “if you stop, you die,” as “smell the roses” could be a metaphor for death, kinda like “pushing up daisies.”
But i certainly agree with the notion of taking time to appreciate what beauty can be observed in the world… even if that isn’t enough to be worth perpetual suffering. At the very least, it’s worth a long, honest look.
@Fatuglyguy
It doesn’t necessarily have to be about being better than others when in such a GodMode. It’s more of a selfish indulgence personal rampage (sort of.) And being in that rampage certainly doesn’t make you any better than somebody else, though you may think it during your GodMode. But you don’t need to act upon it by active outward disrespect.
