The famous poem goes
This is the way the world ends
This is the way the world ends
This is the way the world ends
Not with a bang but a whimper.
But I can’t say I agree. I refuse to “whimper” out. Never have and never will. I haven’t always won my battles (Christ knows I haven’t), I haven’t always fought bravely against my enemies. But I’ve NEVER rolled over and taken it.
And Life is my greatest enemy. I will not roll over and take it, like so many others. Like all the weaklings who justify their misery by saying “that’s the way it is”. No, my friends, that’s NOT the way it is unless you let it be.
Unless you happen to be paralyzed or forcibly restrained in some Turkish prison, you can always do something to fight back. Why just looking at the dirty, squalid apartment around me, I can see a dozen ways to die.
And that’s what I’m talking about. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but some day soon, my life will have a bang bigger than the creation of the universe. And then no more. No more pain. No more enemies. No more “friends” who are actually worse than the enemies. No more baby seals being clubbed to death by dumb fucks in the arctic. No more babies born with horrible, disfiguring diseases. No more rape. No more Devil, no more God. My world ends with a bang. Here’s hoping yours does too.

All of those tings will still be here, the only difference is that you will not. Bang, baby the rest of the world goes on without us, just with a lesser chance of becoming better because you are no longer in it.
