It is for me. I was 14 when it happened, though, so I experienced both. Although there are minor variations in the procedure and I got the most severe kind, yes, it still kills sexual pleasure across the board. You’ll hear a lot of circumcised men defending it, but they’re usually men who were cut as babies and haven’t experienced the foreskin.
My parents nor I gave informed consent for it to happen. It was for phimosis–which means tight foreskin. Under medical ethical codes, a doctor is supposed to choose the least invasive method of dealing with a problem. He didn’t. It was actually misdiagnosed since foreskins become retractable at different ages for different men.
You’ll hear a lot about the horrors of FGM on the news, but they will never address the issue of MGM, which is legal in all countries. Most people don’t understand that it isn’t a medical procedure but an ancient act of sexual oppression. It was adopted by prudish Victorians in the West in order to ‘cure’ masturbation, the very same reasons FGM was practiced in the West up until relatively recently. Because we now live in a gynecocentric society and feminists/leftists have so much control over the media narrative, men’s problems like this get overlooked.
A lot of people just don’t think about it. All of a man’s sexual pleasure comes from the foreskin, ridged band, frenulum and frenular delta. I had them all cut off. The glans on a man isn’t sexually sensitive, it’s more of a pressure, temperature and pain sensor. I’d equate what was done to me with a woman who’s had her glans clitoris and clitoral hood cut off, though it’s probably even worse since more nerves are excised. A woman who’s had that done still has sexual nerves in her vaginal canal.
Honestly, I don’t even remember being circumcised. Mr. Winky has never complained to me about it.
That’s because you haven’t experienced being intact, lorax. You’ve given the same response most men cut at birth give who were acculturated within a genital cutting culture. If I gave you a foreskin for a day, you’d flee the country before I could take it back from you.
No, that’s because I’m asexual; I doubt even having a foreskin would change my lack of interest in sexual exploits. It seems boring and bizarre to me. I’ve even met other asexual guys who were never circumcised, so I know it’s not just a cultural response.
If you’re asexual, then there’s something wrong with you and you should see a doctor. It’s possibly a lack of testosterone.
I was circumcised when I was about six years old. Nobody asked for my permission beforehand and I wasn’t told what was going to happen. I was taken to the hospital intact, the procedure was performed, then I woke up in excruciating pain.
I didn’t want to leave the hospital. I wanted them to “fix” me, to put everything back where it was originally. Circumcision is a barbaric, unnecessary practice which should not be performed unless the person getting cut agrees to it. If you want to mutilate yourself, fine, but don’t mutilate someone who didn’t ask for it.

I’ve been on various medications for emotional and psychiatric defects and they’ve affected my libido, I’m sure the side effects I’m experiencing aren’t anything like the effects of circumcision, but I don’t understand why the absence of sexual pleasure is that bad. Maybe it’s just an intrinsic quality of my own that the lack of sexual pleasure isn’t that significant or maybe it’s because I’m female and men tend to have a much more intense libido, but I don’t get why not being to get off is that bad. There are plenty of other ways to get dopamine, oxytocin and seratonin to pump through your brain.

Lawrence, I read your post because I found it compelling–because I agree with you that no one should be permanently physically altered without her/his consent or medical need pressing enough to affect survivability in a setting in which the individual cannot give and has not previously given consent. I agree with your assertion as a matter of individual autonomy.

Human psychosocial variables, like sexuality, are far more fluid than our traditional minimalist categorizations allow for. I’d hope that if you want others at least ideologically to sympathize with your platform of the primacy of self-ownership, you’d allow them the same regard.

Forgive me if I do not put much faith in sociological studies. The medical establishment allow and promote circumcision, going so far as to even say it reduces the chance of prostate cancer, UTI’s, HIV and other STD’s, even though an objective evaluation of the methodology of all studies proves them to be false and nothing other than post hoc rationalisations.
It is very clear to me that although there is much good science out there, the scientific community has been infected by politics and does not abide by the scientific method 100% of the time. Areas like psychology and sociology have been particularly infiltrated by the liberal-Left and so the quality of the science (much of the time it isn’t science at all) is very poor.

A man can have consensual sex with a 15 yr old girl and go to jail.
This is a fucked up world. One of the reasons I’m suicidal is I’ve taken the red pill and see the unfathomable illogicality of our society. Women and girls are protected from genital cutting all over the Western world and yet the media, our education system and our politicians do not address the glaring double standard. This is because men are disposable and women are worshipped.

Interestingly the USA is the biggest consumer of Viagra and most of its men are circumcised. There is a link between the two. Actually, aye, that’s not strictly true. Yes, some people circumcise for religious reasons; however Jews and muslims are a tiny minority in the USA–most boys are circumcised because it’s a cultural thing. Doctors promote it because 1) they are usually circumcised at birth and don’t see the big deal; and 2) they earn cash from it. There is a concerted effort by the medical establishment to keep the practice alive, even though it is a human rights abuse , by definition.
FGM is also an Islamic cultural practice that is as much a religious requirement as male circumcision. The Western media won’t tell you that though. The reality is that it is not a religious necessity to be circumcised as a Jew or as a muslim. However, it’s inspired by religious culture. In the hadith, female circumcision is described as meritorious.
Despite FGM having a religious link, it’s still banned in the Western world. Men and boys are ignored though. It could be banned very easily.
The US’s culture is founded on theism, so of course circumcision’s being socially acceptable is a product of it

If your body belongs to you then you should be able to do what you want with it. It is unethical, barbaric, and just plain wrong to mutilate another human being against his/her will. Period.

Women have 100% of the reproductive rights while men have none, i.e. a woman has ultimate say on whether a couple’s child lives. If a man wants the child, she can kill it anyway. If he doesn’t want it, she still can have it and then make him pay child support.
Women receive lesser sentences than men for the same crimes.
It is socially acceptable for women to laugh about male genital mutilation, e.g. penises getting chopped off and circumcision, on live television, or in public life in general. A man would never and could never laugh about the equivalent crime toward a woman and be treated as anything other than a pariah.
Men pay far more tax than women on the whole and through state welfare, that tax money is largely redistributed to women.

Yes, I know. I’m in a pickle. I am not scared of dying, but I haven’t had the courage thus far to jump off a cliff or something like that. I search the web for effective pills but I can’t seem to find anything. Everything’s highly regulated here in the UK.
I tried to sue but there’s a statute of limitations; I can’t sue for an operation performed as a child once I pass 21. At least financial restitution would give me security. I refuse to work because I don’t value my existence and so it’s irrational to me to go out and do some shitty job in order to fund an existence I don’t want. I view it as slavery, which is apt considering circumcision was an Ancient Egyptian slave-marking ritual.

Suicide is a reassuring option for me; just knowing I hold that card- knowing I can pull the plug whenever I want to is actually quite comforting. The thing is, once you do it there’s no going back. There’s no “oh wait – I didn’t mean it. Can I get a do-over”? (I don’t plan on ever “attempting” – I’ll do it correctly the first time).
I guess you have to ask yourself if you can find a way to live a life that’s worth living. Is non existence better than carrying on given your current situation? I don’t know. Only you can answer that. You seem like a bright individual and I hope you can find fulfillment and/or some sort of acceptable resolution.
