There has to be a right way to say goodbye

I’m not so sure about that….may be it’s better just to go. Some people will not accept it no matter how you say goodbye. So I guess it depends on your audience.

Console yourself with this truth: unless you or these people you are apologizing to start a war, or invent time travel or something, within 50 years or so no one will ever know that any of you have ever existed. I prefer to take the long view — but you may disagree of course.

Personally, I have nothing in particular to apologize for since I’ve done nothing that even remotely deserves a death penalty, either before my death and certainly not afterwards.

“Deserve’s got nothin’ to do with it.” (For you Clint Eastwood fans). In the end, it’s my choice.
