I am a hopeless romantic. I see so much beauty in the world, in so many things. I can’t enjoy most of it, but I can see it’s there. One example that may seem a bit odd is jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge. As a jumper in the USA that is the dream. It’s just so perfect. So many people before have done it, and so many more have failed at it. The idea of all of those success’s waiting for you at the bottom. A mere 220 feet to join them. The thought of it is so peaceful. The problem is location. It’s a 36 hour drive for those 220 feet. That’s quite a distance for somewhere so closely watched.
What seems slightly more reasonable is only about 2 hours away. One of the largest train trestles in the US, a respectable 160 feet off solid ground. It’s still slightly monitored, as it is still an active railroad, but I doubt anyone will be watching the cameras that closely in the middle of the night.
What I would like to know from the community at large is if you think that extra 60 feet would be worth it.
