i recently took in a stray cat…..he’s all old and crochety and sweet and has one eye missing….it took awhile to gain his trust, but now he’s purring at my feet…it’s very rewarding and theraputic……i came upon this site like a week ago, i was doing a bunch of research on suicide methods……i have 3 really awesome people in my life, and i’m daft as fuck but i realize it’s 3 more than some…….but i have some health problems, it hurts to move sometimes….so i do alot of drugs, socially acceptable in my case of course, which somehow makes it worse……i’ve also had some things, the very worst kind of things, happen……and it’s really hard sometimes to remember the past is in the past…..i guess sometimes it’s hard to remember the reasons why it is important to keep breathing……..but the cat helps

I’m happy for the cat and for you. I also adopted a cat few months ago. Sweet cat, but every night she keeps meawing really loud and I have no idea why. Seems like she wants to play but so late at night im so tired, and during the day im mostly out. I’m the only one here who actually do something to distract her, but its hard when you have backpain constantly and you are always tired and thinkin about how you are going to kill yourself. Well, I’m gonna buy some toys and a laser pointer so my parents won’t really have to make such an effort to play with the cat during the day.
Cat’s work wonders for the soul. A few years back I suffered a chronic illness and rarely had the strength to leave my house. Stray cats kept having kittens in my backyard and I’d end up having to feed and rehome them. Out of that situation I ended up keeping one that has some type of autistic disorder, he’s chill as fuck and awesome with kids. He’s like my best friend lol
she may be in heat, n2g
She was. Besides meowing she also lift her ass up etc, but not anymore), but not anymore. idk why she makes so much noise, specially when everyone is trying to sleep. I play with her and make some toys for her to play alone, she likes them, but eventually she will just get out and go back to meowing really loud.
Cathy, I read your profile life has really knocked you around. Isn’t it funny in different sort of way. People talk about rescuing a stray pet or one from the animal shelter, but somehow it turns out the animal really rescues us. I’m sorry, but I have to disagree with your comment “I’m daft as fuck” with all you’ve been through & are still alive, that’s something of an achievement. Especially the way you were treated by some people close to you, that you can still give & receive love. I think that’s great.
we all have our crosses to bear, i suppose……i appreciate your sentiments, and your candor
Glad to hear that you formed a special bond with animal. It’s one of a few genuinely kind feelings in this life. Animals need friends too.
