Nobody knows because nobody has ever done it and then come back to share their experience. Many people claim to know because their religion tells them so, but they don’t know anything more about it than you do.
However, let’s think about why they say that. Why is suicide regarded as the greatest of all sins? Because it’s giving up and God isn’t done toying with you yet, you are depriving Him of His fun. They say that God never inflicts upon you anything you cannot bear. As difficult as it is, if it’s happening to you then you can bear it (with God’s help, of course.)
I am not religious but I see the logic in that. It’s giving up and letting “life” win. Once you’re dead you’re dead, forever, and you don’t get to have those fleeting moments of joy anymore, those small moments between the misery. Like taking a deep breath on a cool autumn day or biting into a crunchy apple or falling asleep.
Of course, I myself would not be here if I weren’t seriously considering doing the unthinkable so what do I know 🙂
Then again, as I ponder this question, perhaps THIS is the hell we were cast into for eternity after having committed suicide in another life. ( Twilight Zone music plays! do-do-du-do!)
When you die your body decomposes and becomes one with the earth. I don’t believe in all those stories that violate every law of the universe. But I can understand if believing in such helps whoever then so be it. Like the above comment says no one knows for sure, there are so many speculations as to what happens. I personally like to stick to what’s scientifically logical.
Well if you believe in Jesus the unforgivable sin is accepting him into your life then on rejecting him consciously, that would be blasphemy.. that sin can’t be forgiven, everything else is forgivable but god will judge on that day of judgement… Suicide is self murder it is a sin but it isn’t the ultimate sin that can drive you to hell. my belief..
all the dead rest in the grave, untill the day of judgement and jesus return…. no one has gone to heaven but jesus.. Satan and his demons aren’t in hell yet, he is in this world because god gave it to him before adam and eve..
When you said that suicide is self-murder, I imagined Nelson from The Simpsons going, “Stop murdering yourself! Stop murdering yourself!” My goodness. So, question: how does one go about repenting for the sin of killing themselves? Is it like a preemptive repenting?

I guess you can take your own life and suffer or keep living and suffer. Your choice.

everything else is forgivable as long as you repent from the heart and soul.
