The second day of my week long music post. This song is kind of preachy but it does acknowledge life’s difficulties, encouraging to walk forward regardless of the wounds.
Either my life burns in a literal Hell or I get sent to a mental hospital for my finger/toe nail-ripping ways… Yes, I actually rip off my finger nails when they get long enough to do so.
I haven’t had either pinky toenail for years. You are in good company. hmm. I can feel my fingers throbbing from here. Is it sick of me to feel rather comforted by that? I’m in an interesting head space this afternoon. Does it make you feel calmer knowing that there are people here that understand what you are going through? I’m not sure on some days how I feel about it. For example, today I don’t have a clue.
To be honest, no. However, the sadistic, nihilistic side of me is laughing at the fact there are people who understand me. That this world is just one big joke but only a select few are “sane” enough to realize that. For all of humanity’s idealism, the truth is it doesn’t take much to create madness; just one bad day… *insert Joker laugh here* The sad fact is people don’t want to acknowledge how hedonistic humans truly are.
@zet: In the end people are selfish as a species. I have seen some fairly hair raising things in my life working with addicts, and they aren’t even the rock bottom of humanity, IMHO rock bottom are the non addicts running for the hills when there is real need in a disaster. Like an epidemic or earth quake or something like that. Sure there are the heroes, there are always the heroes, but they are quite the minority. The majority of mankind is running as far and as fast as they can to get away from the disaster and they may or may not take their loved ones with them depending on the cost ratio.
The Ebola incident here in Texas is a prime example. A lot of crazy messed up things went down that in no way were humanitarian. I don’t know why I was shocked. Except for the fact that these are supposedly mentally healthy stable leaders who have no medical reason to act like complete loons.
I think the problem of leaders running around like headless chickens when disasters hit is because they don’t expect them to happen; not even a slight chance until it is too late. The world they (want to) live in is a fantasy world where nothing bad happens. Sadly, the world we do live in is where the individual needs outweigh the group needs and where the only absolute power is money. A prime example of this is Shkreli and his AIDS gouging.
Yeah….like a SAW game, but instead of the puppet guy, there would be an anti-hero. A small child 7 years old of ambiguous gender that systematically and continually drops syringes from the balcony that oversees the antiseptically clean surroundings. Think black and white tile and black and white tile walls. No way to clime out of the arena either.

I didn’t think it was preachy at all, very up beat and wonderful.
Remind me again, what exactly happens when 7 days of upbeat JRock is finished?

@zet: he belongs in a room filled with questionable syringes. And no hope of medicine.
