Do some things just make your blood boil? This is unrelated to depression / suicide, though this is one of the many reasons why I’m pissed at how terribly run and inefficient the USPS and 99% of all companies are.
So I ordered something from Amazon. The sent it via USPS. USPS claims that they attempted delivery at 1:03pm on Monday, Jan 18. On MLK Day. Yeah, on MLK Day. What bullshit is that? USPS was CLOSED that day. They weren’t making any goddamn deliveries. Tracking says that “delivery was refused.” I assumed they’d just redeliver it on Tuesday. Nope. Nothing on Tuesday. Now it is Wednesday and tracking shows it going back to Amazon. WTF? Whatever happened delivering it 3x before sending it back?
22min on hold with Amazon. Girl on phone tells me they’ll redeliver it tomorrow. No apologies, no explanation for the bullshit “delivery attempt.” Heck, not even a small credit for the hassle. What I’m really pissed about is the boldfaced lie. “Delivery attempted” my ass. USPS was clearly closed on MLK day.
Was still talking to her when the call got “disconnected.” I don’t know what she did but she pressed something. The call went to some answering tree. I never got an email from Amazon asking me to rate the service (which they always do when you contact them) so it seems she disconnected me on purpose. That’s fucked up.

I’m pissed off by me paying my money for plane tickets and them not announcing that the plane wouldn’t start in time and we waited 2.5h to take off. Without a glass of water. Then they fucking lied that the airport had problems in my language when they said that they didn’t have enough crew in English.
And they let Germans board who had their flight 10min after us on our plane.
I fucking hate liars.
I FEEL FOR YOU BRO
which airport was this?
I don’t know where you live, but …..
Five months ago:
– – Postal Service to deliver Amazon packages on Sundays, holidays – –
“The Postal Service has contracted solely with online retail giant Amazon to make deliveries on Sundays and holidays.”
I’m not sure if this is ‘nationwide’ but it seems fairly broad.
oh hm… i suppose… I am inclined to believe that except for the fact that my USPS person (as well as FedEx and Ontrac) has repeatedly marked items as “delivered” or “attempted delivery” when I know for a fact that haven’t. And I’ll usually (but not always) get the package days later when they finally do deliver it.
I don’t mind if they deliver it the next day, but sometimes I just don’t get them at all or they say it’s delivered and nothing is there. If they haven’t delivered it, then fine. But to say it’s delivered, then me having to go to the leasing office or search all around the lobby or around my door, each and every time, is just a plain hassle. Just bold-faced lies.
hm, i wonder what % of all USPS packages are from Amazon… Seems like a lot.
They do that same crap around here, marking them as “attempted delivery failed: no one home” when… hell, i’ve been all day home, waiting like a freaking hawk. Pretty sure they have to meet a quota of attempted deliveries so they just do that when they don’t meet it.
