Self-explanatory question, I don’t really go on here too often or know exactly how everything works I know I’m an idiot but I was just wondering if there’s any way to direct or privately message someone through sp?

As far as I know. No there is not.
If the person posted on one of your threads you can try emailing them. I think that’s the only way of contacting a member. Go to Dashboard and click Comments, and you’ll see all the recent comments. The ones that commented on your post will show an email under the person’s name. You can test it out with me 🙂 do you need to talk to someone?

I think some long time ago people used some IRC channel or the likes, but it was several years ago as far as I remember. If I’m not mistaken, that is.
Usually people in here exchange an email address if they want to get a bit of privacy for their conversation, but if you do intend to use email address, remember:
1. a lot of people register with disposable address and
2. don’t use your main one. Keep a bit of privacy to yourself. While I don’t think anyone in here would use it against you, this is still internet and it’s better to be safe than sorry. Some people use Skype, but again> don’t use your main account and keep a healthy degree of privacy just for yourself. Be cautious about your personal information. Anyone can visit this site and make an account, not just people who seek help or want to help others.
Also you can try making a password locked post and give the password only to the person you intend to talk to, although I suppose you were looking for something more convenient.
You could make a Kik account specifically for SP and give that out to anyone you’d like to speak with
