I grew up in a war torn country.
Countless times our days were darkened by smoke or having to hide underneath the beds.
And at night? Evenings in the dark and having dinner at the light of a single candle was the norm.
I vividly remember my mother telling us to stay calm. That brighter days were in our future…
I suddenly caught myself remembering this long gone memory of her words, realizing how right she was, while spending time with friends and family on a day that fit the description so perfectly… over 25 years later.
Hold on to your hopes and dreams, people. They take time, but eventually you will get your own Brighter Days.

This was just last Monday. Memorial Day here in the USA. The location was Hollywood Beach, FL
And re-doing my math, it’s been over 30 years since those dark days plagued by bullets, riots, and social upset back home. Back in those days.
