@djarumblack just the meaningless of it. I’ve never amounted to anything, I will work 9-5 for the rest of my life and I’m not interested in holidays, socialising, anything really. life is predictable, even the news.
Yea the soul crushing spirit destroying wage slavery that our wonderful society is built upon. Spend 50 hours a week 50 weeks a year for the next 50 years doing something horrible tedious and monotonous all to barely make enough to live pay check to pay check and finance a life you don’t even enjoy.
I have often wondered that myself. We always feel like we need a reason we can justify. Something that other people will understand. Boredom doesn’t really qualify, at least not by most people’s standards. I suppose it just has to be a fair enough reason to you, regardless if other people accept it or not. If you are perpetually bored and life completely lacks enjoyment, what is the point. Although you should make every attempt to ameliorate your circumstances before giving up.
it’s as fair as any other reason to kill yourself…. I too find life boring whenever it’s not absolutely horrible…. Boredom is just as bad as any other negative feeling in my opinion…. They all suck to feel :/ I’ve found that the worst thing to have to deal with is always the current thing -_-
i’ve done it all and seen it all, the magic of living the dream has disappeared, so i know what you mean, what now? in my case it’s try to rekindle a dream, strive to do what you love to do.

Why do you think it is that you’re bored? Do you think something’s missing from your life (that would excite you), or is it life itself?

Are you able to step out of the predictability?
Like, do you need to work a 9-5 to keep up with your lifestyle? If not, why not ditch that job and do something crazy?
(I dont even listen to my own advice, so you can brush that all off as empty words)
You’re not your job. You can make things “new” again.
