Love is a memory
Forgotten in time
Love is a memory
A story, that I left behind
Love is a memory
Of all the lies that I ever knew, in lieu of truth
Love is a memory
On the digital analogy particles of my soul
Love is a memory
One I choose to lose
Love is a memory
That I will give back to the dark
Love is a memory
That once lit a silent spark
Love is a memory
In the wasteland that is, I
Love is a memory
In a forgotten corner of my mind
Love is a memory
Like that of a forgotten dream
Love is a memory
The forgotten and unwanted parts of me
Love is a memory
A battlefield, in which I stand alone
Love is a memory
That has left me out in the cold
Love is a memory
One to which, I now choose not to know
Love is memory
Burned into my soul
Love is a memory
That I choose not to know
Love is…
Love is…
Love is…a memory

“In the wasteland that is, I”,….awesome.
I love your writing. Hope u keep sharing it.
Ps. Sent u an email.. did u get? Or did i screw up the address.. lol probably.
I got your email, thank you. I just emailed you back. 🙂
I am glad you like my writing, thank you…and that was one of my favorite lines in that “poem”. 🙂 See great minds…right?
Nice poem. I wish I had somebody to love
Thank you…
“I’m giving up on love cause love’s given up on me.”
It’s all just a joke and all I remember are guys treating me like a piece of shit. All I wanted was to be loved. They saw vulnerability, used it and left. I had a long relationship, but before and after that, I’ve only been treated like garbage. I will be alone a long time. I hate men. I should say most, but I hope all the cunts who mistreated me get a taste of their own medicine.
You and me both…I completely understand where you are coming from. And HUGS.
I too have been used over and over for the same reasons….so I understand.
Very good poem. There is a point where words stop being just words and start becoming art, image, feeling, memories.
Not many people can do that. You possess that unique skill and know how to pull the right strings to elicit an emotional response. Keep it up, I can see your work getting even more sophisticated.
This is coming from someone who used to read a ton of poetry and got some recognition in my school for my own poems ages ago. 😉
Thank you, that is completely flattering…I mean that. That is very kind of you. I never thought about sharing anything with anyone else…here it seems that no one would judge me for it. Sometimes, my words are all that I have.
I wish, I could say more…but you have left me something on the lines of:
Speechless.
