I brought a knife to work. A fucking knife. And I was going to use it too, but it’s harder to find time to slash my arm into ribbons while punched in than I thought. I really, really wanted to. I still do.
As someone who’s never cut or desired to, this idea is very odd and foreign to me. All I can suggest is to find another outlet or means to release your feelings/emotions.
Take up boxing or some other athletic activity. If you damage your arms then you might end up disabled or hospitalized which will only worsen your difficult situation.
When I feel stressed out, I talk to close friends/family to get it out of my system. I know how bad life can get sometimes. I’m going through a rough patch myself right now-but hopefully I’ll be ok in a few months.
Also keep in mind if someone sees you carrying a knife to work they could get the wrong idea. Here in Canada there are many strict, stupid laws around carrying a knife and you can end up in prison for up to 5 yrs. You might want to check your laws in your state.
