I had a dream. I was with a girl on roof of a very tall building and I was talking to her over mobile phone (for whatever reason). Then she fell from the roof. She kept talking to me over phone while falling down. Finally I heard a thud sound. Then I heard beep-beep sound in my phone (the one you hear when someone disconnects), because her phone would’ve broken from hitting the ground. At this moment I woke up. And realized that that beep-beep sound was of my alarm.
Now what do you make of it? I am utterly amazed. How could my mind know that my alarm would ring at this very moment and give this very sound and so created a dream that matches it!? Here are my theories:
- Alarm had been ringing for some time and mind created a dream that makes sense of that sound. (Still why I didn’t wake up earlier and woke up only when I heard that sound on my dream mobile phone?)
- Mind created and ran that entire dream in split of a second the moment alarm rang. The dream was atleast of several minutes. That means dream world time frame is much different that real world one. But how much? Can mind create days length of dream in few seconds?
- Mind heard the alarm, went back in time and created the dream. (sounds fantastical but I’m not ruling it out).

I had a dream I was awoken from day before yesterday but it makes more sense in your dream cause you at least got a full nights rest.. my guess is you woke up to alarm then went back to sleep and forgot. Because…. who doesn’t half wake up and then just rest eyes for 15 more seconds and it turns into a few minutes whilst not waking naturally..?!? My dream I JUST FELL ASLEEP. A big strong woman took me into her arms and told me I was the sweetest to snuggle. Then a woman’s voice damn woke me right up saying something I don’t know. Real loud. 2 minutes after I fell asleep. Like great the all night insomnia to be awaken instantaneously.
I am amazed at How meticulously the mind creates dreams. A few days ago I had a dream that I believe would make a great sci-fi action movie. Minutest detail and precision. Awesome graphics. And the concept – mind blowing. I woke up and wondered was it really my mind that created all that. Because I’m shit in creativity.
Looks like you have a lot of creativity stored somewhere to create this kind of dream 😉 It may have also been the biological clock of your body. Hard to say, sounds really fantastic though.
I have out of body experiences dreams. I can feel my spirit leaving the body and I see some room of my house.
Maybe you were already having the dream with the girl before the alarm rang, and only once the alarm rang you actually “realized” that you were talking on the phone (or also that you were standing on a roof, etc), and the whole falling thing happened? That would also explain why you thought you were talking on a phone in the first place, if you were actually standing right in front of each other.
That would mean your mind added details to your dream that you weren’t aware of before to explain the sound of the alarm.
