Hey,you know that you’re not a burden…In fact, you’re one the nicest persons I’ve ever talked to.I keep thinking of you and I admire and respect you.I don’t think that anyone has something mean or bad to say about you (well,at least here in the SP). Now,since you like poetry,I’d like to do something for you… I’ll give you a poem (and I hope you’ll like it) written by one of the greatest poets who ever lived…This is ”The Guest House” ,by Jalaluddin Rumi (translated by Coleman Barks):
The Guest House
This being human is a guest house.
Every morning a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
as an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they are a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture,
still, treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out
for some new delight.
The dark thought, the shame, the malice.
meet them at the door laughing and invite them in.
Be grateful for whatever comes.
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond.
This was also turned into a song by Coldplay and narrated by Coleman Barks:
