Yes I think people often see themselves as kind of a god-like being, perfect, infallible until we meet other beings and are shown our flaws and weaknesses.

If all our needs were met and we weren’t ‘slaves’ to anything like our jobs or other obligations, I think people would feel like gods-I’m sure that’s how well off people feel, those not experiencing any mental health issues. I’m aware some people are rich but depressed and so forth-I’m not referring to them of course.

I also believe that some kinds of experiences can make you feel spiritual/divine, uplifted, like finding a rare beautiful place on Earth or going to a concert/play and getting inspired by the art you’re engaging with.

Perhaps the ultimate would be to travel to space, see our solar system and maybe go beyond that (in the future) visit other Earth-like planets. The universe gives us so much beauty, we don’t need a bunch of desert fables from 2,000 yrs ago to feel awed and amazed.

Heck, you can find that wonder right here on Earth, just look through a microscope or telescope, or a great book, movie, music, or travel. We only experience a small drop of the ocean of reality out there. Life could be more enjoyable if we didn’t have so much bs to deal with. 🙂
