I absolutely love that video, I’m pretty sure it was a hand crank job, speeds will vary, I don’t think young people today see stuff like this to often, even myself.
It is a cool video. I believe that was San Fransisco a few days before the historic earthquake and fire (1906, I think?) destroyed the place. Kind of an ominous backdrop for it, would’ve been nice if whoever made this particular video had built that history into the video itself.
I love it. This filming was done just two days before the quake IIRC. It was decided to send it off to NYC for processing and that is what no doubt saved it from being lost forever.
