i keep thinking that no matter how long i’ll live ill still be giving my life away and work only to support shitty companies that will eventually ruin earth. Even lets say i became something as noble as an author, i’d still be carried away with making books ruining tree for example. And even how people in fashion are trying to sell us things back, things that were on trend then died from trend but now since they ran out of ideas they sell the same things again, and we still buy it’s dumb. more of life not meaning anything. We cannot fix this messed up world. and that makes me more sure that we shouldnt live really.

That’s why I live my life with zero aspirations or plans for the future. I dredge along at the bottom forever because that’s the most I’m willing to participate in this stupid system. I’d rather not even do that, but I’d also not like to sleep in a box somewhere.
how can one live like this it’s so hard to live knowing that everything is doomed and dumb. i hope it works for you but to me idk how to not end up on the streets honestly
Just do what you’ve got to do to get through the day and try to keep your head above water. It gets easier once you realize that the world will continue doing what it does regardless of how much or little you contribute to it. And contributing gives you at least a little leverage to change some of it. It’s all about how you put your resources to work, and what you focus on. It’s not all hopeless, just most of the surroundings are bleak and absurd.
yeah i get it. i wish doing that was easier tho right hehe. just waiting till oblivion sounds more fun. but yeah yeah society will eventually force me to do my part and actually contribute
Well yeah. it’s messed up! But it was meant to be that way, were suppose to consume and destroy everything, including ourselves.
it’s dumb why live in the first place u know?
why do people act like they are fixing everything then?
Yes good question? Well no.1 people were born into this cesspool through no fault of their own, no.2 it takes time to learn just how fucked up it is then they go thru the WHY? Stage and do try to fix it, however you can’t fix something that isn’t broken. I myself learned to accept it for what it is and try to make my existence a little less painful and a little less painful for other’s , considering the choices you have I say do your best don’t take it to seriously, enjoy what you can it will be over in a blink of an eye anyways all though it seems forever. 🙂
that does make loads of sense. i’m glad you reached that part in your head. it’s a very good thing to accept. maybe im just like all those humans i criticize for wanting to find reasons of life, because i myself search for it too hard. but life moves on not caring about anyone..
I say we let it all collapse. Then we can have a mad tea party in Walmart and nobody will call the cops on us.
rivets, Hum? sounds like a story? 🙂
businesses suck, and even in first world countries the rich trample on the poor. We have to find our own meaning in this world, maybe something positive, and live for that? like dreaming of retiring in decent health, and then volunteering and spreading laughter in this dismal planet?
nomorepain461 Wow! I love that! 🙂
we work like pigs and waste our lives to build things we dont fully need in the name of evolution
agree
reality is depressing
very then they blame us for running off to dream worlds and wanting to die
Capitalism is the law of nature (survival of the fittest, what’s mine is mine, screw everyone else).
Like you said, we do ourselves a disservice in hoping that it will ever change. In fact, I would say that WE are the ones who are wrong for dreaming of an impossible utopia where everyone is happy, spiders coexist with flies, and a benevolent government gives me 40 acres and a mule just like everyone else.
I’m not being sarcastic. The answer is to get rid of our bizarre self-centered notions of “fairness” and realize that the only fairness that has ever existed on this 4 billion year old planet is: if you want something, it’s up to you to figure out how to get it. No handouts. No charity. Animals are fine with “capitalism”. The squirrel will stockpile nuts and think nothing of the starving field mouse. The squirrel is not “evil”. The squirrel proceeds from a deep understanding of how nature is set up, just as the starving field mouse understands this and dies without crying “life is so unfair.”
If some rich ass exploits the poor and builds a mansion in Beverly Hills, more power to him. I would do the same if I were smart enough. The sooner we all accept this truth of existence, the happier (or less outraged) we will be.
i absolutely see where you’re coming from and i fully understand that. no one will give up their success to be “good” and thats very true and realistic. my main issue is that people generally are getting dumb and buying into dumbness. making the stupid famous and therefore not giving the right recognition to those who truly deserve it. it’s a system that only those who benefit the ideas of the capitalists get chosen for fake greatness. then it all ends up a game in our head because later on we’d get into wars we never truly signed up for.. we just shut up about it so we got in. im sorry if i didnt make sense much honestly cuz english isnt my first language. but i am more so maybe speaking because well.. i live in the middle east, and you know how that is. so me agreeing to capitalism is me funding a war over myself
