I’m honestly concerned with how much I sleep. It’s usually 8-12 hours or so a night and i don’t really understand why I’m so tired. Maybe it has to do with being vegetarian but I’ve been one for 3 months now. And it’s not like i dont have motivation to stay up, because there’s lots I want to be awake for xc

Rocketman, the “four food groups” (meat, fish, cheese, vegetables) were debunked 20 years ago. Nobody “needs” to eat meat. Do it if you want to.
Darkwillow, erratic sleep is the #1 symptom, and often the cause, of depression. Since you’re on a suicide forum I’m guessing that’s your culprit. That said, dietary changes can have short term effects, but your body eventually finds its own rhythm just like recovering from jet lag.
Oddly, I’ve found being a vegetarian (10 years) has given me way more energy and clarity of thought, and unfortunately this often leads to insomnia. But that’s a good thing because I can put in tons of overtime at work.
My point in all this is, we can try to blame physiological factors (dietary, stress, etc) for our sleep patterns, but the bottom line is our brains. Maybe try to get to the root of why you don’t want to leap out of bed and take on the day? For example, if you had a new job, new girlfriend, new car, etc would that give you a reason to get active?
Note how I purposely did not suggest taking antidepressants because those tend to make things worse.
Humans do need meat. Why else would we have canine teeth? Also why do people that don’t eat meat need protien supplements?

Also if you even took 3 seconds to look it over you would see that there are scientific reasoning. That’s I picked that one.
Quite the contrary, Hope, it’s a contentious topic and a factual explanation, where conclusions can be verified, would help dispel many misleading claims and untruths.
Look as long as it’s not one of those cases where they feel the need that I need to know they are vegatarian/vegan idc besides I have bigger problems right now than a small disagreement.

NIA, thank you for being the sole voice of reason here. It’s funny that you neither advocate nor deride vegetarianism; you merely suggest doing research. And just that is enough to make the ignorant ones get their panties in a wad. I personally never debate anyone on the internet. I state my case once and leave it to the world to do their own research. But I find it comical how many angry people feel the need argue common knowledge. Then again, these are probably the same people who think the earth is flat.

If you have a balanced healthy diet generally you can do without meat just fine. Not everyone is the same tho. I think some people really actually need it. Like some people even thrive on a carnivore diet. I think its a bit individual and you need to find what diet suits your bodys needs the best. Also perhaps its because you sleep too much. I am guilty of this too. I have really nothing to do these days and I like to sleep so I sleep like 12 hours a day but I think it actually makes me more tired than if I have slept 8 hours. I dont know.

Yeah I was merely pointing out that, I could become a vegetarian today but what i’m I doing to consciously supplement for it? In my case if I just quit eating meat I would die! I’m not an authority on what things I should eat and probably continue eating what ever I have been eating just without meat. You can quit eating meat but your diet needs to change to make up for it. I’m not arguing with anyone, but I’m assuming that the same thing would happen to me, and it probably should be looked into. Trust me I don’t eat those things. 🙂
Personal opinion we should all drop this. Because no one here is “angry” we are just stating our opinions and I think it’s getting out of hand and we are just repeating ourselves.
Yeah, Darkwillow makes a harmless post and immediately 2 angry people jump on here finding fault with his life choices and preaching, wrongly, that he will apparently die because vegetarianism doesn’t work (tell that to 1.2 billion vegetarians in India for the last few centuries). Hope Dream Love and Rocketman, I don’t care what your opinions are, but when you attack the lifestyle of someone posting here, you need to be called out. I suppose next you’ll tell him that he “NEEDS” to be a Christian. Try to be supportive here, which is all I was doing before you turned this into yet another ridiculous display of internet idiocy.

Well this very interesting to read and unexpected to say the least haha. I mentioned vegetarianism but the whole point was just me sleeping to much. If anyone has any feedback on that instead of saying my diet is going to kill me, that’d be way cool ^.^

I was supposed to have been dead on August 2012, after I failed at that (the only future I had planned out thoroughly for myself) I was sleeping 20 hours a day, every day for years. I had nothing to wake up for and only woke up because I couldn’t die and I couldn’t kill myself. Some years later, strangely I started getting sexually assaulted, followed and raped by my parents’, idk how to describe them, friends
Then again I despise my parents and am forced to be around them. I have expected to either have to disown myself in order to survive or just give in to years and years and years of severe multiples types of abuse and kill myself.
