everytime i try to convince myself that it’s okey and the future can be good i take one look at the news, or even just open twitter and im overwhelmed by the terrors of the world. im aware life has always had it’s hardships but it seems as though no one is actually living “to live” instead we are all “trying to stay alive” except ofc the rich and powerful. so why is this even worth living for? i literally have suicide as my plan B if any little thing in my life goes worse. i still somehow still have no died because of the troubles it’d cause but is it for my faith in a future? is it for hope? i sure as hell don’t think so.

Mr. Kennedy, the last world history teacher I had in high school, asked us why we study history. “To learn from our mistakes” he said. Do we learn? No. Each generation of human minds can function only one way – selfishly. We are not, at our core, a productive, enlightened species. We are a self centered destructive species with less common sense than nature gave worms. Is our future worth sticking around for? No. We’ll be making the same stupid mistakes and causing our own headaches until we succeed in eliminating ourselves. THAT would be worth sticking around for…to watch us go bye bye. But hoping that evolution will result in a human utopia – waste of time.

thats exactly what i think too but isn’t it just depressing? im not even waiting for an utopia i just think a decenency would be acceptable.. its too horrific and scary and hopeless
