Yes many people live entirely for others. But only certain personality types can do it. You have to be the kind of person who values duty over your own personal happiness. Firefighters, soldiers, mothers (the real kind), are all in this category. Even if you’re not one of those professions, it’s possible to find your own sense of duty if your personality is inclined to believing in a purpose greater than yourself.

Some people live for others because they enjoy controlling others…. some people live for others because they care and don’t want to upset them…
