I don’t know. Maybe. I did have a thought once that if I do end up killing myself, what would I do if Hell was just “this” again. Like you get put right back where you were and everything is the exact same. In a way, wouldn’t that be the best punishement? Like I get you can do the whole eternal torture and hellflame stuff, but wouldn’t it be extra venomous if suicide victims get the thing they were running from?
According to Hinduism we made/gained/got trapped in this world due to our past actions and the goal or end result is freedom/moksh. It is a prison but a prison of our own making and a prison from which we can get out. And we will get out. Everybody is moving towards that in their own way, slow or fast. Knowledge being the key. The more the knowledge, the less the prison. Knowledge of prison and knowledge of self.
That’s the whole darvinian evolution. It is evolution of knowledge. Organisms becoming more knowledgeable. Humans are a product of this evolution and, though still very much trapped, are the least trapped and most capable of freedom. We suffer the most because we recognize the prison most and flitter for freedom.

This is what it feels like . Also some kind of learning and testing ground.
