Been trying to accept it as normal for years, but it’s just not. Things that help sometimes, in this order:
1. adopt a pet
2. make something
3. read books
4. watch movies
5. go to quiet public places like a park, bookstore or library
6. drugs but no alcohol
By jumping between those things I can sort of accept it’s normal. Also I try to remind myself how tiring it is to have other people in my life. Most days I’m fine. Nights & cold rainy days are the worst, when your options are limited and you’re forced to confront the pointlessness of a solitary existence. Nothing can help with that.
Boredom though annoying can be easier to solve than loneliness. I play games, watch movies or tv shows…I used to go out a more, hang out at malls, libraries or the gym and might do that in the future.
In my case I have some friends and family members so I’m not lonely in that sense. But I am single and it sucks not having a s/o in your life.
I totally feel for anyone who is absolutely alone….but you can get a feeling of human interaction online…it’s ofc not the same as irl, but it helps…if you go on X/twitter for example and there are live chat sites too.
You can always go to church or join secular groups to meet new people. It is a bit harder to meet quality people if you’re in your late 20s and older. I found the best places to make new friends was usually high school and university.
It’s harder in the workplace since people aren’t there to make new friends usually.
It’s the irony of our times….we’re surrounded by millions of people and end up feeling alone.

Maybe one of us could set up a Discord. We’d maybe feel a little less lonely
That might be nice
