Why is it that nothing that exists for depression / mental issues help?
I mean, I get why drs and psychiatrists don’t help, bc they’re part of the medical industrial complex. The system is designed to keep us sick to maximize their profits. A healed patient is no longer a customer.
The majority of therapists are piss poor therapists. Have you had a good one? I haven’t. Why are therapists so shitty? Yes, I’m sure there’s a small percentage that are good. But why are the rest so damn awful?
Suicide hotlines or warm lines don’t do diddly squat. They’re staffed by ppl who read from a useless script at best, or at worst, make you feel even WORSE. They’re completely unhelpful and useless.
But even depression groups- both online and in person? Why do they also suck? I mean yes they’re run by regular ppl, but why aren’t any online depression groups helpful either?
Are those groups helpful to you? Why don’t online groups help? Bc they’re online? Do we need it to be in person/ not nameless and faceless ?
Theoretically they should help. But they don’t. The only thing depression groups do that is helpful (for me) is let you vent.
Posting rants help a little to unload a little of the anger- of minor things. Like everyday things that piss me off (like ppl who don’t clean up after their dogs or have them leashed, rants against Karen’s, etc). But other than rants/venting, I find online depression groups not that helpful.
Does anyone else feel this way? About how unhelpful psychiatrists, therapists, suicide hotlines are?
And even depression groups (even ones where you meet IRL). Why aren’t depression groups not very helpful either? I joined a ton of them on fb and at best, a few of those groups were “not bad.” The rest sucked.
