Mom,
You didn’t fail,
You tried your best,
You believed,
You raised me to think,
That life was worthwhile,
That people were good inside,
That i was Perfect the way i was,
But Mom,
You don’t see,
You don’t see my mind,
You don’t see the futility,
The hatred,
The fear,
The pain,
I show you the brighter side,
So you won’t worry,
Or see my intentions,
I love you.

Thank you Clair, i plan on posting more. im glad i found this site
That is a real beauty, RealKris. Those things just seem so absolutely stunning. To be able to express that is something I have longed for my whole life, but have nothing to say it about. Being grateful is a very good quality. And I like the poem.
omg my mom’s a ***** she said she wont fund my competitive yodeling team <///3 ill show u old hag
well i was expressing gratitude to my mother. but sarcasm and joking is a valid coping mechanism so, bravo.
@StruggleOn Thank you, it really means a lot to hear that.
I can see how this post would be beneficial in venting your emotions but honestly, it would be so much more pragmatic for you to express this to her directly, I’m sure she would appreciate it 🙂 If you adore your mom to this extent, why can’t you trust her enough to disclose your genuine emotions?
that…..is a very good point. I think she would understand…maybe she’s even been in my shoes before
Mum’s the word. I cringe whenever I hear “mom”, sounds so out of place. Mom… I might call my mum that next time I see her, might get another 8 kilo vase thrown my way. Should’ve seen her face when I came home with my enlistment papers… rage-face-wtf.jpg
Welcome to SP, RealKris. Stay here for a good time, not a long time. This place can be both a blessing and a curse if you let it.
i really feel like this place will be benficial for me, like this is a place where i can just put my thoughts and not be judged….or maybe i’ll end up at the end of a rope, i guess we’ll see. its been a really rough past few years
Your Mom’s a lucky woman — especially if you follow SB’s recommendation.
Oh: And Mysterious Stranger’s point about the length of time you spend here is valid, but I would add: Be sure to soak up the intelligence of this place. Its a hidden jewel. Except/ especially her and that Lorax guy. They are CRAZY smart!
Ack: her = Stendarr’s *****. The cast of character’s slipped my mind for a moment.
