Don’t get me wrong,  i don’t think a little faith can hurt anyone, but my views on church tbh? kind of pointless.  i do in fact believe their is a God but going to church, I feel like  i’m surrounded by hypocrites. If your going to love, praise and worship god than why not do that on your own time? Just being around  people just makes things worse because as soon as you leave no one is the same person..  i just pray to god that when I finally leave this earth he will take me..

Countdown until the pro-God and anti-God people see this post and “unite”…
Grabbing popcorn in 3….2….1….
I very much agree with this post. My whole family (excluding myself and my brother) are a pack of religious nuts. Church every single Sunday, obey all the ridiculous religious bullshit…in fact, this past Friday they freaked out because I had roast beef. Apparently, meat isn’t allowed on Fridays, or some shit.
And, honestly, it is rather creepy to have all these “worshippers” in one place. Do that crap on your own time, or, better yet, don’t do it at all.
Just my opinion! I’ll now be attacked by a pack of wild, religious nut cases, so bring it on.
While I can understand where this irritation is coming from, it’s not right to be so harsh. I am not religious, but I still recognize that religion can be a great comfort and source of enlightenment for some people. Even if they are not necessarily saints all the time, or most of the time – it makes their lives more tolerable, and inspires them to try to be better. Some people even use worship as a form of stress relief, therapy, you name it. How is that bad for them or for people around them? Wouldn’t it be worse without?
If you don’t want to go to church, then don’t go! If you are still in your parents household and have to go just to please them, or maybe even avoid arguments – well, you know that’s gonna end sometime. Regardless how one feels about religion and faith, we have to be tolerant to those who believe, and those who don’t.
I wasn’t trying to be harsh tbh and I agree with what you’re saying but these are just my views. As I’m typing this I’m in church with my papa and he loves when I go with him and I love him to death so I go without complaints.

If you weren’t trying to be harsh, you certainly have an interesting way of showing it. I’ve been on this site long enough to identify a troll-like post… particularly when this type of post is the member’s SECOND post on SP. Statistically, members don’t join SP to launch anti-religion crusades within 24 hours of arrival.
Hypocrisy is inevitable in a church environment that has so many stringent rules to follow. Sin is unavoidable and repentance is what keeps the guilty souls coming back so they can make things better with God and the church. It’s a never ending process, but it was designed that way.
For the majority that attend, it works.

in all honestly I was just trying to vent.( I didn’t know you needed a certain amount of posts to express your views, religious or not) I’m deffs not anti religion at all, I just thought I could express myself without this much negativity but oh well
Yeah, I think distant was overstepping with her moderator duties and pushing the statistical posting guidelines on you. Now that you’re no longer a religion basher, what’s your next post going to cover?
I say the ptv next post should be on the 10 commandments. Which I believe if lived out even in a non religious ways could be ten fair ways to live that could possibly reduce pain we cause ourselves when we break them.
I don’t go to church and I don’t worship anybody. It’s better that way.
