I’m just curious why my comments are labeled “awaiting moderation”.
I don’t think I’ve been particularly hostile.
i put a lot of time and thought into some posts, and if they’re never going to be read (because they’re sidelined in the waiting queue), i won’t reply.

1. i think it has something to do with word-filters
2. it might also flag you for review, or something, upon changing your display name.
New users get their comments sent to “Pending,” at first… certain words trigger the moderation or spam filters (they appear to function separately, to some extent).
Idk, most of my comments don’t go to pending or spam, partly because i’ve been around a while, but also because i refrain from using certain words that i know will trip the word-filter and get the comment sent to either pending or spam.
I’m also not sure if something sent to “pending,” will first need to be approved by the originator of that particular thread/topic/post, or if there is a certain amount of time, after which, the pending (awaiting moderation) comment, will be automatically cleared (or perhaps trashed).
TL;DR:
It’s probably nothing personal against you.
Thanks. I’m just curious what I am doing to cause it. Some short comments go right through, but if I’m writing something longer, I write it in another tool (with a larger box so I don’t need to edit it numerous times after it is visible).
Usually, i put more time in these, and I am hoping to give someone just one thing (out of many) that may give a positive shift. (Yes, I’m that pathetic.)
That other tool… is it another physical device, or some app that connects through a different IP or port? I had a look at that extensive Lyme comment, and i didn’t notice any of the problem words (though i did merely skim it without my glasses). There could be a length factor, or perhaps one of the acronyms… I’m guessing it’s one of the more technical terms/information that tripped the filter, but there might be a banned keyword in there somewhere.
You could try posting it in smaller chunks (several comments), and see whether: (A) all of them go to pending/spam, or (B) just one/some of them do.
If (B), you’ll have narrowed down the search zone the offending term.
Same device.
Part of it is using a tablet that can get t”witchy” with Wordpress. Then there is the user issue, I used to pick up tools so easily.
Thanks!
