Wonderful?
I have heard a lot of complaining lately about the people on this site. I think, however, that you are all wonderful… Yes, even the people who have vented their frustrations about SP (I am sorry it isn’t as helpful to you as it once was). This world has dealt you some heavy blows, and for that I am sorry. I know that you are here to vent, or to seek support, or to share, or to help, or whatever the case may be. You’re reason for being here doesn’t matter to me, nor does the way you choose to express yourself. I value your thoughts and your opinions, and I believe that you are all valuable people.
I think it is odd that the people with suicidal thoughts are the people who actually see the way the world really is and they are the people who care. The people that the world needs more of.
Anyways, speak your mind and I will listen.

There was a quote I read awhile ago. It said something along the lines of, “the most understanding people in the world are often the most depressed.” I’m paraphrasing, though. I don’t remember it word-for-word. But it does agree with what you said about the people with suicidal thoughts understanding how the world works.
Was it on SP or somewhere else? That was a really smart person who said that. LOL.
Somewhere else. If I find where I’ll let you know.
The person (singular, despite having two nicknames) venting about SP in previous postings was a regular troll who makes an appearance here under many different pseudonyms, from time to time. I’ve seen him here many times over the last few years, and can always point him out just by his writing style. Heh.
But that person aside, I can definitely agree – people on SP are generally wonderful. 🙂
You are behaving very immaturely. I only joined yesterday and I only have one account. You make the guilt by association fallacy. You’re so arrogant, you think anyone who shares my perspective on something is me. Very shoddy reasoning and off-the-scale arrogance.
I love this quote from Shakespeare:
“He jests at scars that never felt a wound.”
And yes, this is a very nice place to be. 🙂
I like that very much as well. Thanks for sharing.
I really like this one too:
“All the world’s a stage,
and all the men and women merely players:
they have their exits and their entrances;
and one man in his time plays many parts…”
I like that quote too. There are things that don’t change over the centuries.
The quote is from “Romeo and Juliet”.
Well said Ashley.
Great post Ashley!
One thing that pleasantly surprised me about this site is how many positive posts I see (positive being a somewhat relative term here, I guess, but certainly positive compared what a lot of us are thinking about). All of us are in different places and for some of us — well, me at least, but hopefully others — reading about others’ thoughts allows me to at least see other viewpoints outside of my own little box.
How many of you have actually told other people what you write here? I haven’t — no one in my real life has the slightest idea what I’m thinking, and I can’t even imagine bringing up the subject at this point.
For some of us, this site is all there is, and it’s more real than the real world.
Or maybe I should have taken the blue pill…..
LOL. Definitely not the blue one!
I think it is great that there is a place to share thoughts and feelings without fear of persecution and straight jackets.
Just keep sharing bzbzbz, we’re here for you 🙂
One thing I didn’t like about a rehab centre I used to visit was that negativity was forbidden, so it had almost become a Brady Bunch rehab centre.
Here there are both negative and positive posts. Not all people who post negative stuff will really commit suicide, but venting helps, and hearing other opinions is good.
Anyway, thank you for being here, Ashley! Your positivity is always refreshing! 🙂
