“In the end it’s not about what you have.
In the end it’s all about where you want to go
And the roads you take to help you get there.
Cause you’ve only got one life to lead.
So don’t take for granted those little things.
Those little things are all that we have.”
i know we’re all going thru our own shit, and if you’re like me these thoughts could pop up and disappear on your mind constantly. just an hour ago i was ready to go, but my friend asked me to eat out, and we talked, and it did feel good. sometimes i feel the world is against me, but sometimes i feel i can conquer the world. i hope the lyrics above would make sense to any of you. i know it maybe cheesy or corny or a little bit cliche, but its a cliche for one reason, because its true..
goodluck to all

Thanks for your post. I read the lyrics and find that the road I wanted to be on kept on being blocked off by serious events or ppl who came and took that road away. I’m not sure little things cut it anymore when such big things have destroyed what zest for life I may have had at one point. Every major life stage was destroyed by something or someone…so now I just despair, it’s all I have.
do not think that way..try and appreciate the litlw things you have, like internet for example, ppl are depressed aLl over the world and that includes poor countries who cant even afford a lousy internet connection, which you clearly have.. dont despair my friend.. i know it seems like the only way out is to end it all.. but no, people still care im sure of it.. be strong
In addition to what synthaxe said (and thank you for original post), remember that opportunity still exists for you, but on your own terms. It’s true that simply living in a society will impede us from achieving our absolute goals, but the kindest trait given to the human condition is adaptability. It contrasts the sorrows we inevitably experience. Our darkness (the participation on sites like this, for example) obscures the paths we still have before us. We may not have ever looked for these paths before, and we may have preferred other paths, but as beings susceptible to grief we take what happiness we can. We find that the happiness may be for ourselves or others; but both cases are acts of altruism. As long as we are still altruistic beings, we still have the potential to be amazing human beings.
what does “altruistic” mean?
thats nice i dont think ive read that before
