When I needed to tell someone how I felt, I wrote “You don’t understand how I feel” on the fridge with a whiteboard pen. My best advice would be to tell someone you need help through indirect means. It took me months to work up the courage to tell someone how I felt.
What ever happens, know that this person will be supportive.
Frankly I’ve told a couple of people close to me that I’ve contemplated suicide. They have disclosed the same to me as well. I think many people do think about it, unless they got ‘perfect’ lives. The difference is how serious you sound about it. Still it’s good to reach out to someone you know and trust, they can maybe help you through your problems.
Chances are they will take it seriously and that’s why it’s so hard to do. Ppl wanna help usually. Occasionally, some ppl only want to help because they don’t want you to bleed on their carpet.
Everyone has their own ways of communication. What’s the easiest way for you? Call, email, text? Just let them know there’s something serious you need to talk about and share it.
