Gorgeous, that’s all he knows her as. He knows she has a real name, and that there’s a real face behind that picture, but he likes to imagine that same face laughing, smiling, blushing. He feels something in his chest when he speaks to her, but he feels for the other as well. They are friends, him and her, and their playful banter often lasts hours. She calls him cruel for the compliments he gives, and he calls her Gorgeous. The makeup runs down her cheek in the picture, but when he pictures her, he sees those piercing blue eyes looking at him, or some random point in the distance. For there is no chance those eyes could ever be caught by himself. He imagines her tall frame standing in a doorway, always a doorway, or maybe lying on a bed, and he wishes his mind’s eye had a better view. For he is entranced by this young woman that goes by Gorgeous. She has been kind to him when no other was, and he has written poems for her. He has worried for her, and lost sleep when she went through her troubles, and now he is happy he can be there in a much better way for her.
She lies there, a hard day’s work down, but something still doesn’t feel right. Her intelligent, blue eyes are surveying the inside of her eyelids. She’s goddamned breathtaking right now, she’s finally relaxed for the first time today. There’s a tomorrow for every today, she thinks, and finds solace in it. Hearing a noise come from her phone, she tears her eyes away from the lovely scene of darkness and flashes of light painted on her eyelids to look at what she’s received. By the time she answers her phone the light from the notification has gone off, and she presses the power button as quickly as she can, but gets a glimpse of her reflection. Her brown hair, normally styled just to her liking, is framing her face freely, and unbidden makes her that much more beautiful. Her tall figure begs the eye to soak up every inch. The eye explores her body, regardless of what the owner of the eye originally wanted, but for now, it focuses mainly on her face. It sees those eyes, beautiful and captivating as they are, alight with all the life within her, the cute nose, and the slightly red cheeks. She still feels the burning from the last compliment he gave her, and her face is starting to feel sore from the uncharacteristic amount of smiling she’s been doing lately.
