Since we’ve ALL made a lot of terrible mistakes, what advice or “words of wisdom” would you give to yourself if you could go back in time? or advice to someone else so they don’t make the same mistakes you did?

Don’t ever let yourself do anything that you couldn’t talk about to someone who really loved you, even if your life and future wellbeing depended on it. Some actions there is no coming back from. Everything else is just learning material.
Your conscience is generally sound, but you have to listen to it, all the time, and not think you know better.

Finish college. She’ll always love the needle more than you. Sell AOL when it hits $70.63. Don’t try to decock a revolver when your hands are sweaty. Register that domain name NOW. Throwing plates at each other for six months should be a big hint it’s not going to get better. Forgive your parents. Drive slower and pay your car insurance bill on time. Stop picking at it.

Marry Shannen from Dance class. She likes you because you’re not constantly trying to hit on her and can actually hold a conversation when you’re not scared shitless. Plus she’s the closest thing to heaven you’ll ever lay eyes on. Trust me on that, son.

Don’t fuck around with enlistment. Apply for the Regular Force straight off the bat, none of that reservist shit. It was good, yes. But being RF from the beginning would’ve benefited you a lot more.

At age five, when you fall ill to meningitis, do not agree to see the doctor from the get-go. When school finishes for the year, crawl your way down to the beach across from the field at school, and die with some dignity looking over the place you love.

Yeah… I have plenty of regrets.
I would modify this to read : “play with yourself more”.
-Yes, I should’ve had more fun. And played with myself more. And played with boys more 😉
-I should’ve been selfish and only thought of myself instead of being nice and getting constantly pooped on. Being “good” and “nice” has done nothing for me but get me screwed over. And over.
-I should’ve ran away at home at age 7, or have committed suicide, back when I was deciding which of the 3 routes to take. I stupidly took route three- to stay alive and bear the pain and abuse, because I believed my life would get better once I become an adult. I was SO wrong. -_-‘

Accept that some people won’t accept you. Don’t mold yourself to please them. Don’t cave to them if they try to change you or put you down. View them as natural hazards and avoid. Don’t fancy yourself a snake charmer (unless you actually are, but honestly what are the odds, that’s a pretty niche occupation).
Enjoy yourself. Life is fucking short. Very fucking short. In other words: do things you enjoy. For no reason other than that.
Be brave (I’m not). Be brave. What is a life with no risks taken?
I think Coldplay (yeah, I’m quoting them) have a line about “cursed missed opportunities”. If you can feel that there is something yoy should do now, rather than later, because it might be major, do it. Don’t wait. The moment will die. And it will keep hurting.
You only get one life. It’s ridiculously merciless. I imagine that’s what that game Demon’s Souls is like. It is perfectly possible to screw up your life beyond all recognition, forever. Lives are disposable, unfortunately. Don’t be that person. Don’t throw it away. Do something you believe in.
And don’t listen to me. Everybody’s right.
Don’t miss any opportunities to hold someone’s hand. It could actually make a difference.

You need to learn from your mistakes and take care of yourself. You are alwways the most importante thing .
