Well, Friday didn’t pan out as planned. I’m going to try again some time before Wednesday. I have a question that I’m hoping someone can answer. Is it safe to use your cell phone and mp3 while using charcoal in a car? I wanted to text someone before I died and listen to music to relax me. I read somewhere that using your cellphone during this method will cause it to explode. Is that true or not?

Texring somebody is a bad idea, that somebody will notify the police and they will trace you. So you will be saved before you die.
Otherwise, asking wether it’s safe or not to use your phone because it can cause an exploition is a silly question if you really want to die.
I want to die, yes, but not by an explosion. I want to know if using my mp3 will cause an explosion.
How exactly will you go ahead with this plan? What’s the process of suicide by using a charcoal in a car? Won’t it make you feel extremely hot and sweaty? What’s the success rate? Is it painless?
From what I read, the success rate is really high and it is painless. Basically you just go to sleep. You just let the charcoal burn for about an hour outside of the car until the charcoal is just glowing red embers. Then you just put it in the car, get in, seal it up, and wait. If you take some sleeping pills, it makes it more calming. I just want to know if I can listen to music with my mp3 during this or not.
Thanks for the explanation buddy. Might help me out.
I think you shouldn’t listen to the mp3 even if someone here says that it may not explode. You don’t want to take any chances do you?
Yeah, you’re right. It sucks that I won’t get to listen to my music, but like you said, I’d rather not take my chances.
I really have no idea, but surely the embers themselves would be just as likely as your cellphone/mp3 player to cause a gas explosion?
Hmm… It says on Quora that CO is very combustible. So I may be wrong.
Under the right circumstances an explosion is possible.
The main gas released burning charcoal is CO2 (Carbon Dioxide) which is not flammable, in fact it is used in some fire extinguishers.
If incomplete combustion of charcoal occurs CO (Carbon Monoxide) is released. Incomplete combustion can happen in an environment lacking oxygen, a car is a perfect example.
Carbon Monoxide is flammable so with correct temperatures/environment flash point is possible.
Electronic devices count as an ignition source.
If you put burning or smouldering charcoal into a car you have an ongoing ignition source anyway, so with partial combustion of charcoal resulting in flammable CO release combined with the increasing temperature you have a potential for an explosion even without the introduction of an ignition source such as electronic devices.
This m.ethod seems far to risky and I strongly advise you to reconsider. The consequences that you would have to live with following a failed attempt of this type are dire.
Please continue to share your story with us until a more reliable m.ethod is found. We understand life is hard and we have most likely shared similar thoughts so we can relate. Some of us have eventually gotten better too, with the right approach and people things can improve or at least get a little better.
Take care.
Thumbs up!
