It’s strange sometimes. How you can go to bed with a thought, a feeling, a sensation of sorts, and then you fall asleep for a few hours, 9 hours, or more… Yet as soon as you open your eyes it instantly is all there. The same thought, feeling, sensation, as if you only blinked while in the middle of a thought. That’s how I went to bed last night. And it’s how I woke up today. The looping paragraph of the lyrics resounding in my mind:
“‘Cause with all the changes you’ve been through, it seems the stranger’s always you…”

“Forgive me,
For I did not know.
‘Cause I was just a boy
And you were so much more
Than any god could ever plan,
More than a woman or a man.
And now I understand how much I took from you:
That, when everything starts breaking down,
You take the pieces off the ground
And show this wicked town
something beautiful and new.
You think that Luck
Has left you there.
But maybe there’s nothing
up in the sky but air.
And there’s no mystical design,
No cosmic lover preassigned.
There’s nothing you can find
that can not be found.
‘Cause with all the changes
you’ve been through
It seems the stranger’s always you.
Alone again in some new
Wicked little town.
So when you’ve got no other choice
You know you can follow my voice
Through the dark turns and noise
Of this wicked little town.
Oh it’s a wicked, little town.
Goodbye, wicked little town.”

kinda embarrassing since I should know what it’s called
you brain skipping a beat in the sleep cycle or performing a step so intense the consciousness doesn’t pick up on it and “time”
personally I hate when it happens, makes me down right sad at times
but that’s because I love to sleep, like really love. my highlight of the day, true comfort, unlike the other stuff during the day that is merely “distraction comforts”, if that makes sense
@TLS – I hear ya. It’s like a constant period of hibernation for me sometimes… You sleep and while you do, you can actually “feel” how good it is. Then waking up. Functioning. Eating. Transportation. It all feels secondary. Like a dream of reality while the real you waits to go back to sleep so you can wake up in your sleep and enjoy the pleasure of resting…
Yeah, I hate when that happens. I actually remember the first time I tried xanax, I took two of the pills and promptly fell asleep for two days. I woke up and it felt like it had only been an hour. That was such a confusing and weird three days.
That reminds me of when I first combined xanax and rum.
@Wolfenstein626 – you know, it’s starting to sound like I’m missing out here… LOL
I was given Alprazolam once way back when, which essentially is Xanax. Hated it. Actually I hate healing by meds so I take a mind and body control approach and techniques toward ailments, other than the occasional aspirin…
Makes perfect sense. I was absolutely anti meds for quite a while. The fact is feeling sedated and zombie like from meds is not healing. However I have found a few particular meds that work for me, don’t sedate me, but actually improve my thinking, and make life possible. My goal long term is to be healthy enough to not depend on meds, and I am actually close to that. I’m on 1 med now instead of the 5 I was on before. You’re not missing anything as far as benzos. xanax and rum combo almost killed me, and wasn’t even fun.
@rivets – So basically I should be happy I get to trip for free..? XD
But yeah, that floaty feeling of misplacement is strange, ain’t it?
