Score one for the little people! Thank you for this post. I SUCKED in school, it was the most difficult thing for me at the time. I just couldn’t understand who the hell cared about things like math and history, but according to faculty, they are sacred and MUST be learned! Now, at 53, I have no concept of history, have never needed to solve a quadratic equation, have never been asked to show anyone my hypotenuse, and the thing I am most proud of, have no idea what the House and Senate are other than a bunch of overpaid windbags. I’ve taken two IQ tests as an adult, one returned a result of 128, the other 134, and I can honestly say I owe very little of it to the “system.” My learning started when I limped away from high school(failed all 4 years and had to attend summer school as punishment each year) and never looked back, until 6 years later, when I took several math and electronics classes and aced the fuckers with perfect 4.0’s. What changed? My attitude, my perspective. I wanted to learn, knew I needed to learn to perform my job. You can’t tie down a child/teen who doesn’t want to learn the schlock “they” deem necessary without doing harm in some fashion. It’s a shame that those who decline a higher education are looked upon as inferior, but that’s life. So, Mrs Ulrickson, Mr Edgerly, Brother Frank and Brother Sam (attended a craptholic high school),Coach Aggie and all you other twits who felt the need to berate, chastise and demean me and others, suck it. BTW, Bro. Sam, if you’re reading this, so sorry about the whole reassignment to another school after your indictment for molestation. Must suck to be you.
All that wasted time stressing over exams, studying, doing pointless papers- I could’ve enjoyed my life. College was a crap-ton of work, endless stupid papers and assignments.

If you don’t mind me asking, What sparked interest in you current job?
Even when you are a good little student like I was, school teaches you nothing and gives you absolutely no useful life skills.

Well. I believe I feel better now after that rant.
