Same. Also, it always seems I acquire even MORE problems and can’t get rid of the ones I already have no matter how hard I try. Things just keep getting worse.
in my humble opinion what you think could make you happy is the root of all your problems. because your state of being depends on something outside your own self.
in eastern philosophy (for the most part) the key to happiness is to do 2 things; to live only in present and to stop wanting anything which are correlated. the latter doesn’t mean that you should not set goals or do things. it means that do not let them become you which brings you back to the former rule; only live in present. it’s only this very moment that counts. don’t be absorbed in the future that may not even come or the past that you can not do anything about anymore.
mind you that while I strongly believe in what I just said, for some reason it no longer applies to me personally. but it really is the salvation for most of the depressed people I have met or talked to when they actually practiced it which can be very hard and nothing to do over a night.
