My relationships with family are virtually nonexistent anymore. The occasional text, usually for birthdays or to announce the death of a cousin, aunt, uncle. Can’t remember the last phone call or letter, and it’s been at least 7 years since physical visit, and in all honesty, it’s better this way. A comical sign I saw once said “Raising children is like being pecked to death by a chicken.” That is how I feel around family – like we are going to slowly peck and nibble and tear at each other in a dysfunctional chicken rodeo, until we go insane or die. So, I get along best with each family member by barely acknowledging their existence. And what the hell is a chicken rodeo??

Live alone, rarely answer the phone when they call so I don’t have to get along
How old are you if you don’t mind me asking?
