Material goods are, of course, vital and needed, but I agree that we place too much emphasis on their importance. An interesting aspect of the evolution of the human mind, the human “condition”, so to speak. We will sacrifice emotional/spiritual health and well being for nice toys, probably because finding satisfaction in them takes far less work than understanding our selves.
