I have some older neighbours who sit on the street pavements near my home and I don’t like to get out on the street because of them. I don’t like them and the fact that I have to say something to them. What should I do to escape this?

First, you should figure out if you’re making a bigger deal of this than you need to. Could you just ignore it?
If it’s a real problem worth moving for, look for somewhere else to live. Think about what’s important to you, what you like about various environments. Think about the places you have been in your life. Where did you feel unhappiest? Where did you feel happiest?

All you can do really is ignore it. People are gonna do what they are going to do even if it’s terrible.
Go sit with them. Maybe they are on to something?
