I’m not particularly striking, I suppose.
Not lightskinned, my nose is big
Just generally unappealing
I’ve worn an afro for about 4 years now
turns people off, or the ones I’m trying to attract at least.
I oversexualize myself in a way that seems to push people away even more.
I’ve this ridiculous tendency to be both loud and overtly inappropriate
I’m aware of it but,,, it’s just the way I am, I suppose.
I’m so good at repulsing everyone and I’m just
at this developmental stage in life where everyone else is changing and I’m just…not?
Dying hair, getting piercings, finding interests
I suppose I’ve gone through that phase already
but I’m just. stagnant at this point?
I have this soft spot for white boys and I’m just so
not very attractive to any of them.
There doesn’t seem to be a point to anything
or even this post.
I’m just kinda tired
it seems to be my only character trait.

How does an afro work?
Muspelhem, are you serious?
Yeah, how would I know?
It’s curly hair but
up?
idfk
It’s a glorious halo of loveliness. A magnificent wild free hairfest.
Or if you’re a dude it’s the ultimate sign of coolness and self esteem.
Do you do anything to it or does it just stand up like that? I mean, do you cut it like those round bushes people sometimes have in their gardens?
@ mushelhem, lmao
Just look up some photos of it, dude.
Afros are awesome. They’re just difficult to manage at times.
@thetrashmen, honestly, you sound gorgeous. We all tend to be overly critical about how we look, and then someone comes along and thinks, “wow you look beautiful/gorgeous/handsome/etc”, and we wonder how the hell do they see us in that light. Me, I think I look like a bushman (wildman/hobo) when I let my hair and goatee grow out for too long, that’s one of my many gripes.
Do you think you try too hard to attract people to you? I ask because we become overly critical about how we look because we are specifically looking for a romantic partner, and overly self-aware when we’re actively trying to make friends. I’ve found that easing up a bit on looking, and focusing on things I like, things that make me feel good, that’s where you find friends. That’s when you find people who’d potentially wind up attracted to you.
Just my opinions.
I’m a dark-skinned guy, and I’m damn proud of it. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Okay, so I read up on it. Apparently, there’s something called a Jewfro too, lol. I think afros are kinda hot on women (and groovy on men). Didn’t Jimi Hendrix kind of have an afro? Anyway, it reminds me of the ’70s.
I don’t know. You seem beautiful to me. I’m very attracted to dark skin. The darker the skin the more beautiful it is. I’m a strange person. I’m white. Fair skinned. Blue eyes. Married to a handsome man with the most beautiful green eyes. But my fantasy lover is a black woman. I don’t know why I’m telling you this. I just want someone besides my husband and the one beautiful black woman who found me desirable to know. No shame.
your existence in and of itself brings me peace. bless your heart.
Thank you! I used to love my hair. Wavy blonde and down to my waist. That was before someone in the OR shaved the back of my head. It would’ve looked kinda cool if they’d done a better job. My friend Pearl (RIP) had a nice Afro. It was close. I loved touching it.
