Hear your situation/ story and come to the same conclusion, a conclusion at variance with your own conclusion then you’re in trouble. The whole world can’t be wrong and you’re right, never in human history has that happened. Certain problems in my own life that I had to get objective opinions about I always noticed that what I heard back was pretty much identical, it might have been couched in different language depending upon the level of education of whomever I was talking to but the central conclusion was the same. This flipped the problem right back on to me and the fact my thinking had become distorted. With anyone entertaining suicidal thoughts the thought process has become distorted so you really have to pay attention to the objective opinion of others, not that they would no more but they’re looking at the situation with a clear head.

this is basic set theory/logic, which happens to be my happy place,
It can only ever become more probable that you’re wrong, IE, human perception is inherently flawed, so some other form of evidence is necessary to be conclusive
and even then there is more data to be run. there are more people to hear from…. and there are credentials to check, because if your entire sample is recruited from a cult, they aren’t exactly the most credible source, ya know?
The non suicidal world would love to have conclusive proof that suicidality is irrational, but it isn’t inherently so. Yes, irrational people are frequently suicidal, but it does not follow that suicidality is irrational, correlation is not causation
and thus, having demonstrated my needless nitpicking, I’m off to fiddle with something else that has no interest in change
