WHY in fucking September is it still 94 fucking degrees? For the past 4 fucking months, it’s been blisteringly hot and humid and disgusting. Sweat dripping literally 10s after you step outside.
THEN in a week, it goes from hot, sweltering summer 90s weather, to suddenly being cold, so cold that you now need a fucking jacket during the morning and nights. A week ago you sweated through your tank top and shorts!
And HOW is it possible for it to be both HUMID and COLD? WTF?
The temperature has dropped significantly during the morning and night, and it’s quite chilly now, but it’s somehow STILL humid AF. WTF is this shit. This is literally the worst of both worlds. The ONE benefit of it being cold is low humidity. Or at least it SHOULD be low humidity. AND to top it off- during midday/afternoon, it’s still hot and humid af and you sweat when you walk outside. But at night and morning it’s cold AF. AND still humid. Literally everything you hate about weather all wrapped up in one.
I FUCKING HATE this shitty city/state I’m currently in. Fucking hell, I grew up here as a kid. It was horrible then and it’s horrible now. I hadn’t been back for decades, and shouldn’t have come back. Just the weather alone is a fucking nightmare. If there was a hell, this wouldn’t be too far off.
I don’t see why ppl CHOOSE to live here. Dirty and smelly too.

as long as the air temperature is above freezing, it can hold a pretty decent amount of water. When it gets down lower, the moisture condenses anywhere it can, but sometimes it can’t find enough area to condense on, so it can be pretty wet and cold especially at near freezing temps. It doesn’t get particularly dry and cold until it gets down to about 20 degrees below freezing, and if where you are is like where I am, that only happens for a few weeks in January and February.
I’m with you, I hate heat, and by heat I mean any temperature above 60 F. I saw a video claiming that we might enter a new ice age if the polar vortex keeps slowing down, and the video was all doom and gloom about it, and I was entirely feeling the other way. An ice age sounds pretty wonderful. To get rid of mosquitos, the most evil assistant of heat, you need to get down into single digits a few weeks a year, and only get into triple digits for a few hours a year.
What’s worse where I am, the water table is too high. For most of the year it’s a few feet below ground level. So you can’t build a basement unless your house is up on a hill. A basement would be just the thing for this heat, soil temps keep basements near 60 year round.
God, another year to three before I can get out. Seems like an eternity, but it’ll be over eventually right? I hate that the one thing that would really set me up is if my parents died. I don’t want them dead, but I also don’t want to live here. The crazy thing is people are moving here, where I am, where it’s triple digits three to five months out of the year, and humid.
all that being said, Florida is worse. Lousiana is worse. Most of the coastal Atlantic is worse.
how are you getting out in 1-3 years?
ugh, there’s so many places that’s so disgusting, humid, hotter than fuck, cold as shit, bc there’s TOO MANY fucking humans, we’ve moved into areas where humans SHOULDN’T be living. like the desert. or swamps. or the artic. or idiots who build in flood zones. there’s simply no space left bc humans keep sprawling further and further.
well, disability mostly. I need to fix up my house to get the equity out, but if equity goes the way it’s been going, I’m going to be set for housing after that.
but it’s worth the wait, at least if I’m right. Cashing out now, I’d get some but not certainly enough to buy another house. Maybe some land. But I’d like to find a place with at least a cottage to start out on.
The irony being, I’ll be moving to somewhere rural from somewhere pretty built up. The lowest impact thing would be for me to stay, if I could survive in this state without extreme air conditioning. My wife was joking this week about me being like Ted Kazyinky, well, looking like him at least. And I am wanting to move to a cabin in the woods…. but I really don’t think I would become the unibomber.
I want to build furniture, seems like everyone would be really supportive of that.
oh yeah, definitely better to wait a few more years to cash out. how much is your house worth now? how much you think it’d be worth in 5 years?
well, they should do some studies on what % of unibombers/mass shooters/serial killers/regular killers, live in rural vs urban vs city areas. that should be easy to do and find out.
Which country produces the most serial killers?
Top 10 Countries with Most Documented Serial Killers
1- United States. The United States is the runaway leader in the category with 3,204 serial killers.
2- England. With 166 documented serial killers, England stands second in the list.
Well, America is still #1 in something…
but it’s been so disgustingly hot and humid ALL fucking summer, so I was thinking i’d at least have a nice break during fall. but no. it goes straight from hot as fuck to cold as balls. -_-
