The average person thinks that
1- being rich makes you happy
2- being pretty makes you happy
3- being pretty gives you a great life
4- very successful ppl are happy and living great lives
No it does not. In Fact, most of these people are very unhappy on the inside.
Why? Bc of vultures, bc of users and narcissists, and psychopaths and sociopaths. And plain old jealous mfers.
Take a look at people like Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, Amanda Bynes, Justin Bieber, Whitney Houston, etc.
And no, it is not just, “the industry. “
Beautiful and talented people tend to get used and manipulated and taken advantage of like crazy. Regular ppl as well, not just ppl in Hollywood.
I mentioned celebrities only because these are who people “know” so they serve as good examples.
Beautiful and talented people are like blood in the water to sharks. Especially if they are also nice people. Nice people, beautiful people, and talented people get targeted. Especially if one is nice, trusting, beautiful and talented.
Take a look at all of them- Most of them suffer from depression, alcohol, drugs, etc.
Especially child stars, like Michael Jackson or Britney Spears or Amanda Bynes or Justin Bieber – just look at how people have used them and controlled them and stolen all their money, as well as stealing their mental health and freedom.
Talent and beauty is a curse. Especially if they are also genuinely nice/good people. Somehow, evil people never get screwed.
Anyway, there’s so much more to write about this…

Totally I feel this, even though I never achieved any real measure of success. Sometimes having a head start in life, with looks, ability, money or luck, only leads to more people pouncing on you.
Like the gopher who sticks his head up. Target.
Or like the lottery winner. So many of them end up getting screwed by friends, family, opportunists, scammers, not to mention the guvmint who suddenly has you in their crosshairs. Many winners end up losing it all and then some, spiralling into some tragic end wishing they’d never seen a dime.
Not that ugliness is any better. Ugly people are targeted too, but for different reasons. I guess you’re hit from either end of the spectrum, and the best you can do is be so average that nobody notices you.
“the best you can do is be so average that nobody notices you.”
>>Exactly. Mediocrity is “the best” option. Mediocre people do not get bullied, get targeted, get noticed, etc.
As a kid, I would always get picked on, even by teachers because I was smart, and haters are gonna hate.
Also, I was very skinny and I was picked on ENDLESSLY. And yes, by all the FAT teachers as well. I just CANNOT win.
Have you watched the documentaries of these extremely high IQ kids who went to college at like the age of 10? There’s been several of them. There’s one famous one – I can’t remember the guys name – but they were all miserable especially this one. He hated being smart he hated being noticed because everyone picked on him and everyone expected him to achieve great things. And of course he was endlessly bullied. In the end he lived a very bland life. He never used his brains for anything. He purposely got a mediocre job because he could not deal with the pressure of having to achieve something extraordinary because he had an insanely high IQ.
How sad is it that smart people get made fun of and bullied in the United States? I was targeted endlessly as a kid, and obviously nowhere as brilliant as those rare 160 IQ kids (I only have a paltry 128 IQ So I’m not really smart enough to achieve anything “extraordinary”).
Oh- same with these Basketball and football stars. I used to think these were just idiots, Jocks, who were stupid and didn’t save their money and spent everything and that’s how became broke.
Well, I watched some kind of documentary on Netflix that talked about that and about how they are targeted by people, especially by women and especially by nefarious people who constantly pitch them “investment” ideas, and not being Booksmart, they believe them because they sound believable.
But then they all get scammed or screwed by all these bad actors. And yes they are 100% targeted. Which is why you see all these broke athletes when they retire. It’s not true that they were all careless and spent everything. Most of these guys were targeted. That’s not to say some of them weren’t dumbasses.
There’s so many scammers and bad actors out there. If you are famous, rich, or pretty or nice- You most definitely get targeted. And by multiple people. Until they wring you dry. These people don’t care if they get your last dime. And they feel zero guilt.
I have met these many of these kinds of people. That’s why I have no hope left in humanity, and that’s why I hate humans.
AND…that’s how everyone becomes evil -_-
“and the best you can do is be so average that nobody notices you.”
>>Actually, that’s how animals and birds and fish in nature survive. All the mediocre ones stick to the center. The tiny ones get picked off and eaten. S low ones get picked off as well. Big fish or animals get noticed bc they’re big fat and juicy. And usually slower. But no one bothers the mediocre ones, The “middle of the herd”
I guess it was my “mistake” to have been born pretty and intelligent and hard-working and a good person. Every single one of those attributes have screwed me over. Not just a little bit but royally.
