I am 25 years old. My father passed away a few years ago from prostate cancer. My mother has chronic, severe schizophrenia, paranoid type, and the caregiver burden has taken its toll after all these years, as I am the only other family member around. Has anybody ever ordered a ready-made helium”exit” bag from the Gladd Group in California (I understand that it is $60 and may be ordered through mail only)?
I am seriously considering utilizing this method, as I have exhausted all resources for years to make things better, but to no avail; things only seem to get lousier. The chronic distress and suffering has become too overwhelming and exceeded all coping resources available, so I need a means of exit that is as painless as possible. If living is suffering, then I cannot keep going on like this. Just sick of “going through the motions” of basic living.
